Stellies Academia Counter Strike Tournament

At the most recent OC held in Stellenbosch at their Academia hall, we ran a CSS tournament. We had awesome prizes up for grabs, sponsored by Stellenbosch Academia; 5 x Corsair Vengeance 1500, Dolby 7.1 Gaming headsets.
There were a total of four teams raring to go; Ubersoldaten (UbS), DTF (DTF), Easy Company (eC) and a last minute team formed called Random Noobs (RN).
The tournament was a Round-Robin consisting of three rounds. In each round 5 maps were played, with the best of 5 points per a map. The team to win the 3 of the 5 maps wins the match, earning themselves 2 points while losing team gets 0. The tournament winner is the team is the one with the most points at the end of the 3 rounds.
The Line Up
Round 1 DTF vs. UbS & eC vs. RN
Round 2 DTF vs. RN & eC vs. UbS
Round 3 eC vs. DTF & UbS vs. RN
In the 1st round; UbS completely pwned DTF 3-0. Whereas eC vs. RN was a super close GG with eC winning the Match 3-2 in the end.
In the 2nd round; DTF beat RN 3-1 with RN only winning the 1st map. eC vs. UbS was a GG with close finals in map 2 and 3 with UbS owning the competition with ease in the final map winning the match 3-0.
In the 3rd round; DTF beat eC hand down 3-0, and UbS won the round against RN 3-0 without much difficulty.
At the end of the competition the standings were at follows; winners were Ubersoldaten with 6 points, losing none of their matches. 2nd place was DTF with 4 points, winning two of their three matchers. 3rd place was Easy Company with 2 points. In last position was Random Noobs with 0 points, although they had great games early on in the tournament.
