SA's best win top prizes @ OC StarCraft 2 tournament

The OC December 2011 StarCraft 2 tournament this weekend past was huge fun!
With R2350 in prize money, 21 entrants, 27 matchups and more than 60 games played, the tournament built up to an exhilarating semi-final and final round.
After struggling to sustain a stable internet connection during the initial stages of the tournament, it proceeded smoothly.
The structure for the tournament was a single elimination, best-out-of-three format until only eight (8) players remained. At this point it switched over to double elimination with best-out-of-five matches kicking in at the semi-final level.
By the end of the competition, players and spectators alike were treated to an awesome shout casting experience with some epic games being played. My thanks go out to all the shout casters (Congo, Bouncy, TydVirTaal, Grack, Doujinshi and LntLulzAlot) that volunteered their time and skills for the evening.
The top spots were taken by some extremely talented and skilful play by rushMePlz in third, CryTT in second and seeM in first place.
They each won R 210, R 780 and R 1360 respectively.
A big thank you goes out to everyone that participated and made this an awesome event. Hopefully we can carry the momentum and skills that we gained here throughout 2012 and have many more tournaments to come!
